Ujima 98fm Bristol

The Grio Sound

I have been a volunteer at Ujima 98FM Bristol since 2015. Ujima Radio is a non-profit Bristol community radio station supplying local news, discussion, interviews and music. My programme is called GRIO SOUND and goes out at 10am Monday mornings. Griot is the French West African word for a member of a learned group of storytellers, documenters, musicians and historians. The Grio Sound  is art and culture heavy, with Caribbean music and literature intertwined into every show. It pumps reggae beats and soulful melodies. It covers  Black British life and history.

Green and Black Radio

Green and Black Radio is a monthly programme of the Green and Black Project co-produced with Jasmine Ketibuah-Foley. It’s on a hiatus but it will be back.
